Recalling the Black Street Bands of the early 1900s, The Busted Jug Band features homemade/dime store instruments such as the kazoo, washboard, and washtub bass; alongside harmonica, mandolin, banjo-ukulele, squeeze box and a trunk full of musical oddities and noisemakers. Known for their strong group vocals, swinging rhythms and sharp instrumentals, they play music of the classic Memphis Jug Bands, Mississippi String Bands, and Swing Bands of the Urban North. Vaudevillian sight gags, jokes and colorful stage attire round out the show, and fun reigns supreme.
