Established in 2024, the Board of Directors set up an Endowment Fund in order to secure the future of 19 Carter. With a long term goal of $1 million, our hope is that the interest generated from this fund will supplement the annual fundraising income and help provide long- term stability for the organization.
Naming “Old Methodist Episcopal Church of Berlin, Inc.” (19 Carter) as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, life insurance policy, or bank or brokerage account is a generous way to make a legacy gift “outside” a will and is a tax-wise strategy for many donors.
Deferred income tax and estate tax can erode the value of your retirement assets. By transferring these assets to 19 Carter, your gift will be valued at 100% at the time of transfer.
A charitable gift annuity allows you to arrange a generous gift to 19 Carter while providing yourself a steady income. You transfer assets to 19 Carter in exchange for a tax deduction and a lifetime income of fixed annuity payments for the rest of your life.
19 Carter established an endowment fund with the Greater Worcester Community Foundation which manages over $205 million for 70 charitable organizations in Worcester County. These endowment funds will allow 19 Carter to benefit from the successful and secure management of their experienced financial investment team.
19 Carter’s Executive Director or the Philanthropic Advisor Team at the Greater Worcester Community Foundation are happy to work with you or your financial advisors.
